George Kouparitsas is a multi award-winning Brisbane-based architect who specialises in residential, multi-residential and commercial projects – from the restoration and renovation of classic Queenslanders, to designing new-build bespoke luxury homes, to creating cost-effective multi-residential designs that deliver maximum profit.

Over his 15-year career, George has forged a name for himself as a talented architect and regularly contributes to local media, providing architectural advice and commentary. He possesses an acute understanding of all areas of the project spectrum, from initial conception and design, through to on-site project management.

By his clients, George is considered a problem solver; a creative and strategic thinker who is renowned for finding the optimal design solution, regardless of property constraints. Every solution reflects a deep consideration of a project’s unique environmental elements, social requirements and financial constraints.

George and his team approach each client assignment with the same mission. To deliver thoughtful and distinctive designs that are sensitive to surrounds and purpose. To see their designs built into beautiful, enduring and valuable buildings that meet their purpose.

Beyond his day-to-day client projects, George is interested in two key architectural areas which have seen him carve a niche in the Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast regions.

  1. Drawing on his sought-after expertise in the niche area of accessible living — which includes having undertaken specialised NDIS and Livable Housing Australia training — George specialises in designing for people with mobility and accessibility needs.

  2. While livability and practicality always remain central to design, George values the importance of sustainable architecture, focussing on incorporating environmentally-aligned or “green architecture” principles into his designs wherever possible.
