COMUS AVENUE ASCOT NEW BUILD

  • WINNER: 2021 HIA Residential Building Designer of the Year

  • HONOURABLE MENTION: AIA 2020 Residential Architecture - Houses (New)

George Kouparitsas Architects oversaw the design and project management of Concréte, a bespoke new-build home on Comus Avenue, Ascot.

Concréte started as a vacant corner block - a prized piece of real estate with uninterrupted views of Brisbane’s city skyline from ground level. The owners wanted to capitalise on these views, and create a large four bedroom home with every modern comfort. Given the prominent corner-block position, it was also important to create an exterior aesthetic that made an impact, while being sensitive to surrounding properties and landscape.

George Kouparitsas Architects worked closely with the owners to deliver what has become an award-winning architectural home. All living areas, as well as multiple bedrooms, capture the city skyline. In addition to four king bedrooms (two with ensuites), the property features a state-of-the-art kitchen and dining room, a living room with impressive two-story void, a second family room, a media room, cellar, four car underground carpark and swimming pool.

George Kouparitsas Architects oversaw concept, design, council approvals and project management during the build.
