WOOLOOWIN MID-CENTURY BUNGALOW RENOVATION

Featuring blonde brick inside and out, this original-condition 1950s home had three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The owners were looking to completely rejuvenate the property and take advantage of it's unique L-shaped layout, to create a modern-take on the 1970s California bungalow mixed with cool Scandinavian style.

George Kouparitsas Architects oversaw all design and project management of the project, transforming the house into a four bedroom (plus study), three bathroom modern home. An open-plan kitchen and dining room overlook the courtyard and the addition of a large family pool, green wall and landscaping help cement the California feel. Skylights, raked ceilings and white-painted brick made the home appear brighter and airy.
