The original Charteris Street, Paddington

Here’s a sneak peek at our Charteris Street renovation and extension currently underway in Paddington...

Built in the 1990s on the side of a hill overlooking the city, this house had great bones (underpinned with its enviable location), but some major flaws, including complete disconnection to its outdoor spaces.

To help the owners – a professional family of four – create a more liveable space, we designed a third level in the basement area that was focused on introducing public spaces to the home. This included an expansive rumpus room, a stylish bar, a comfortable guest suite and a state-of-the-art home theatre.

We also redesigned the outside, which was once an unused ‘no man’s land’, into an entertainer’s yard complete with a BBQ area, pizza oven and indoor entertainment space that’s flooded with natural light.

Construction of this project is currently underway – with completion expected this year. Our owners are already thrilled with the results (read their testimonial here), and we can’t wait to see the final product!
